Privacy Policy
Ascendra™ Digital
Ascendra™ Digital ("Ascendra Digital", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) ("DPDP Act"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data, across the ascendradigital.in website and our services.
1. Information We Collect
The price estimator and chat assistant on this site collect nothing. Both run entirely within your own browser — calculations and responses are generated locally on your device and are never transmitted, logged, or stored by us. Nothing you type into either tool is sent to our servers.
WhatsApp and email links. The "Enquire Now", "Chat on WhatsApp", and "Email Us" links on this site are user-initiated outbound actions — clicking them opens WhatsApp or your email client with a pre-filled message of your choosing. We do not receive or store any data as a result of you clicking these links; whatever you subsequently send via WhatsApp or email is governed by WhatsApp's or your email provider's own privacy practices, and by this policy once received by us as a normal business communication.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our site. Specifically:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited, time on site, device/browser type, and approximate location (IP-based, with IP anonymisation enabled).
- Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised session behaviour (clicks, scrolls, page navigation) to help us improve usability. Clarity is only loaded after you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner.
- Local storage — we store a single preference value (your cookie consent choice) in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every visit.
2. Cookie Consent and Your Choices
On your first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline non-essential cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity). If you decline, these tools remain inactive — only strictly necessary functionality is used. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site and reloading the page, or by contacting us using the details in Section 9.
3. How We Use Information
Since we do not collect personal data through this website itself, the only information we act on is aggregate, anonymised analytics — used solely to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. We do not sell any data to third parties, and we do not use analytics data for advertising purposes.
4. Who We Share Data With
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity as described above; these providers process data under their own privacy policies as our data processors.
Cross-border data transfers. Google Analytics (Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) may transfer and store data on servers located outside India, including in the United States. These transfers are governed by the data protection frameworks and standard contractual terms of the respective providers. By using our website and accepting analytics cookies, you acknowledge this transfer.
Ascendra Digital does not itself process client end-customers' payment data for any e-commerce website it builds — payment processing (e.g. via Razorpay or PhonePe) is handled directly between the client's business and that payment provider, under the payment provider's own privacy and security terms.
5. Data Storage and Retention
We do not operate a server-side enquiry form on this website, so we do not independently store or retain personal data submitted here. Analytics data collected via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity is retained according to those providers' own retention settings and policies.
If you contact us directly via WhatsApp or email, that conversation is retained as a normal business communication for as long as reasonably necessary to service your enquiry or project, and is governed by the same rights described in Section 6 below.
6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
As a data principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your personal data, where it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected;
- Withdraw consent for communications or data processing at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal;
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity; and
- Lodge a grievance with us in the first instance, and thereafter with the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.
To exercise any of these rights, email sujithkumarsivakumar@ascendradigital.in with the subject line "Data Rights Request". We aim to respond within 30 days.
7. Data Security
We rely on reputable third-party providers (Google, Microsoft, our hosting provider) and their enterprise-grade security controls to protect any data processed in connection with this website. Access to any business communications received via WhatsApp or email is limited to Ascendra Digital's own team.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Grievance Officer and Contact
